Who remembers when I Quit My Job to be a Famous YouTuber, and then didn’t become famous overnight? While I was never homeless or starving, I certainly remember not being sure where my rent money would come from and that was not a fun feeling. I speak from experience when I say that quitting your job before you have found a new one is a terrible idea. Quitting itself is not a terrible idea, but being young, single, and unemployed definitely is.
I get it, we are all strong independent women and we do what we want. What is it that you want? Do you want a new Louis Vuitton? That requires money. Do you want a NARS foundation that actually matches your skin tone? That also requires money. Maybe you just want to pay rent? Again, that requires money. No matter what it is that your little heart desires, you will probably need money for it.
Be the badass you are and stay calm, update your resume, and plan for better days. Hang in there. You are tough and you can handle this, because you are a grown up. Your boss may be infuriating, but being homeless probably sucks a little more. Don’t let a bad day make you feel like you have a bad life.
