COVER FX Custom Enhancer Drops

Story time: One day I was watching makeup tutorials on YouTube and then I noticed all the YouTube OG’s were dropping colorful liquids onto their faces and looking flawless. So clearly, I went to Naimies to purchase the same magical colorful liquids so that I could look flawless as well. As you may know by now, I am a huge fan of honesty and I can honestly say I had no idea what I was buying when I bought the COVER FX Custom Enhancer Drops in the shade Candlelight. I walked up to the woman at the counter and quite literally asked for, “drops for my face to make me pretty”.

My first impression is that the third time is a charm when applying these drops. The first time I tried to use them, I applied entirely too much directly to my face, almost looked like I was trying on blackface, and then covered it all with my NARS foundation. I was caked and glowing, literally. The second time I tried the COVER FX drops, I used significantly less (1 drop per side of my face) and rubbed the drops directly into my skin before applying the same NARS foundation. This time I was caked without the glow. The third time I tried the COVER FX drops I added 2 drops to my NARS foundation on the back of my hand, mixed them together, and then applied the mixture to my face. The final look was naturally luminous, not glowing like a firefly, and very comfortable to wear.

Overall, I like the COVER FX drops. Do I love them? Not necessarily. The drops take time to get used to and I am still not sure that I have the perfect combination. Perhaps the Sunlight shade better suits my skin tone? I’m also dying to try the Halo shade because that highlight looks something serious. I suppose only time will tell.
